Who are Ferocious Dog?
Ferocious Dog have become a dazzling band in the Celtic punk music world and are known for their dynamic and authentic folk punk sound that reflects the essence of Nottinghamshire.
Celebrated for their storytelling lyrics that address social, political and personal issues, they strike a chord with their audience.
The journey began in 2011 with their debut single ‘Ferocious Dog’, which laid the foundations for a diverse and profound discography.
Their first album from 2013 showcased their dedication to storytelling, a hallmark of their musical identity.
Projects such as ‘Ferocious Dog 3 Piece Acoustic’ (2014) and the acoustic version of ‘From Without’ (2017) underlined her ability to strip back her music without losing its haunting message.
Her albums “From Without” (2015) and “Red” (2017) cemented her status in the folk-punk genre, blending poignant lyrics with engaging melodies.
With their 2019 album “Fake News & Propaganda”, they ventured into introspective and critical territory, reflecting on complex social issues.
In 2021, “The Hope” marked a significant milestone, underlining the band’s growing audience and far-reaching appeal.
The 2024 album “Kleptocracy” reached #3 on The May Folk Album Chart.
