Annual Review 2022

In a short photo gallery, we review the year 2022. We promise that in this retrospect there will not be the “you know” word of recent years.

JANUARY

The year got off to a really good start. Ian couldn’t believe his eyes and feet as he stood ankle-high in the water at the beginning of the year. The rehearsal room had to be renovated and the samples had to be moved to a warehouse. Great start to the year!
The rehearsal room shone again in new splendour in a very short time.

FEBRUARY

Russia invades Ukraine on Putin’s orders. Fuck War! A sad month for humanity.

MARCH

Sean cannot play the concerts with the band for private reasons. Paddy takes over the role of the frontman first temporarily, later permanently, as it turned out.

At Spotify, we break the magic barrier of 300k listeners per month.

The first shows of the year are coming up. Stuttgart still under 2G and with FFP2 mask.
With our friends in Thyon we celebrated a great festival in the middle of the Swiss Alps.

APRIL

Finally, the still open shows of the Dogs on the Leash tour can take place.
It starts with a double show in Siegburg.
After umpteen postponements from 2020, Wuppertal can finally take place.

MAY

In May, things went on in quick succession. Oberhausen…
… Hamburg…
… Mülheim.

JUNE

An accolade for us as a Gevelsberg band. The Pinass Brumse build us their own fairground float, on which we perform live for the fairground parade. An absolute honor for us!

JULY

On Ameland we spend a much too short but intense and exceptionally beautiful day at the sea. And in the festival tent.
The Mighty Sounds remains in our memory as the festival highlight of the year. A lot of awesome bands and a great audience made the festival weekend unforgettable.
Sean leaves the Paddyhats after 10 years. A turning point in the band’s history, which had already become apparent in the course of the year.
Paddy Maguire just picks up where he started earlier this year. As frontman of the Paddyhats. More than happy that Paddy could imagine being there permanently, should he quickly come to a highlight in his short band membership.

AUGUST

WACKEN!

At short notice we get a slot at the legendary Wacken Open Air and return to the Wackinger Stage after 2019. Paddy celebrates his baptism of fire in front of tens of thousands of steep spectators.

In addition, we performed for the first time in beautiful Austria…
… were in Böbing…
… and “You-know-what” decimates at the Feuertal Festival.

SEPTEMBER

In September we stopped in Cham on our way to the Czech Republic. In the lovingly run L.A. we were completely spoiled. From the club and from you!
Prague was an incredibly hot party. Totally crazy party people. Played 3 years ago on the other side of the street, this time 500 and thus twice as many came to the Rock Café. Terrific!

OCTOBER

October started with the festival in Geiselwind, which has now been postponed 2 times.
When other club shows end, they only start in Berlin. Very late start, very cool evening!
Opening of the square in Gevelsberg? Of course with the Paddyhats.

NOVEMBER

AT LAST!

The O’Reilly Festival could take place again. What can we say? It was like coming home. Thank you for this unforgettable evening in our living room. Thank you Sportalm.

DECEMBER

Our Spotify Wrapped. The most successful year in Paddyhats history.

This review of the year…

would just be empty without you. Thank you for your support in this challenging year for us! We wish you a peaceful and healthy New Year. See you.
