Year in Review 2023

In a short series of pictures, we look back on the year 2023. It was a year that was about to be (once again) an extraordinary one in the band’s history – with numerous concerts in other European countries, with an album release and our biggest German tour so far. But let’s start at the beginning.

JANUARY

The year started with the final recordings for the “Wake The Rebels” album, which was released in September.
Of course, no one knew the title at the time. Except maybe he’s here…

FEBRUARY

In February, the music video for the first single from the new album was filmed. “Dance for me” was the motto in a Cologne club, where around 40 extras had to dance for hours through a club scene. Not entirely unstrenuous, which is why one or the other cold drink had to be during the filming.

MARCH

In March we played our first Poland headlining tour. In four cities we were able to experience an unbelievably great time with intense shows. Warsaw, Krakow, Zabrze and Poznań were good to us and we were able to meet many new friends. Thank you Poland!
Über die Band
On the last day of the tour, of course, a few pranks of the crew were not to be missed.
Postponed a hundred times, we have made up for two shows of the Dogs on the Leash tour from Corona times. In Obertraubling…
… and Ingolstadt.

APRIL

At the ebay rarity sale you were able to buy some unique pieces from our rehearsal room.
Of course, there was also a full house at the Made in Ireland festival in Neu-Ulm incl. curious interruption by the cleaning staff because someone had spilled his beer.
It was mystical in May at the Hexenrock in Hettenrodt.

MAY

In May we played our first own headlining tour in France with a sold-out tour kick-off in Nantes. We will never forget this time.
Back in Germany we were allowed to play on the Rhodo in Westerstede. Irish Folk Punk in the middle of fresh flowers.
FC Bayern becomes German champion and we play at the beautiful Rock am Berg festival in Bavaria.

JUNE

June will once again take us to various gigs and festivals in France, our second home in 2023. A real highlight for us is always the largest Irish folk festival in Germany in Poyenberg, where we were able to perform in front of around 10,000 enthusiastic spectators.

JULY

On the island we spend a much too short stay at the Folk in a Field festival.
France once again has various festivals in store for us, including in Montmartin-sur-Mer in a tent right by the sea. Highlight Venue!
The music video for the second single from the album of the same name Wake The Rebels is released.
The artwork of the album and the album title will be released. From then on, the little bird followed us all year round.

AUGUST

V and B celebration in France!

An absolute backstage and onstage highlight was the V and B-Fest in, well, where? In France. With cool drinks by the pool, we were able to prepare perfectly for this crazy French party people.

In addition, we made our first guest appearance at the beautiful Schlosshof Festival in Höchstadt an der Aisch…
… Due to the rain, there was sometimes no audience in the meantime.
The Elven Forest held what had been heard of it. Unbelievably beautiful festival grounds and an outrageously peaceful party people.

Greece!!!

What a trip! Our first festival in Greece. And what a one!! It’s unbelievable what happened there.

SEPTEMBER

September was all about our album release. It started with “Land of Tomorrow” feat. the enchanting Annie Hurdy Gurdy of Eluveitie.
Watch Video
We always really like video shoots with you. For the last single we wanted a big mass brawl. The result is more than impressive.

Wake The Rebels will see the light of day on 22.09.2023.
One week later, our biggest tour of Germany to date started in Munich. The start was extremely exciting for us. But you carried us through the halls. THANK YOU!

OCTOBER

The tour took us through 15 German cities with the biggest club show for us so far at the Essigfabrik in Cologne.
We had Sir Reg on board as support on the tour. They came as strangers and left as friends.
Thanks to our excellent crew, the Wake The Rebels tour went smoothly and was a success.

Check out all the tour vlogs here.

NOVEMBER

After the tour is before the tour!

As soon as we have the one tour out of our bones, Europe is just around the corner.

R.I.P. Legend🕊️
It is very uncertain what the world would look like for us and many of our friends today if it had not been for this man and his contribution to music.
